Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 February 2026
KyleInCyber Learn is run by Kyle Woodward, based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data this platform collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect and why
When you sign in with GitHub or Google, we receive your email address, display name, username, and profile picture URL from that provider. We store these so you can log in and so other learners can identify you on the platform.
If you fill in your profile, we store whatever you choose to share - your bio, location, website, and social media links. None of this is required. You can leave it all blank.
As you use the platform, we record your progress: which modules you have completed, XP earned, and badges awarded. This is the core of what the platform does.
We keep a log of when sessions are created so we can keep you signed in. Sessions expire after 30 days.
What we do not collect
We do not run advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party analytics tools that track you across other websites. We do not store your OAuth provider passwords - authentication is handled entirely by GitHub or Google.
Who can see your data
Your username, level, XP, badges, and any profile information you choose to add are visible to anyone who visits your profile page. Your email address is never shown publicly.
We do not share your personal data with anyone else, except where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you want your account and all associated data deleted, contact us at privacy@kyleincyber.com and we will remove it within 30 days.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, request deletion, and object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@kyleincyber.com.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest in providing the platform, and your consent when you choose to create an account and add profile information.
